Programs
2012
What are we up to now? We’re thrilled about what’s on the horizon for Arriba las Manos and for Ararca in 2012. With your help, we hope to multiply our impact in Ararca and the region.
Children’s library in Ararca.
We’re building a unit to supplement the educational services that the school provides, directly targeting functional literacy and supplying a space for activities related to the arts, culture and recreation.

CCV for Ararca.
Crecer con Valores is the first program developed by Arriba las Manos. It incorporates theater, music and crafts into dynamic workshops that help children explore universal principles, accept the notion of cause and affect and consciously outline what they want for their future. We’re implementing Crecer con Valores for the third consecutive year in Ararca’s school. The program enrolls 300 children and provides teacher training and support to the twelve docentes of the village. Click here to read more about it.
CCV for everyone.
This year we’re working to make Crecer con Valores scalable, lining up the schools and the financial support to take the program to other coastal communities and reach thousands of children in 2013. We’re conducting school visits, meeting with stakeholders, and polishing the program into its most efficient incarnation yet.
School outreach.
We continue to be involved with Ararca’s school on a ongoing basis, delivering teacher training, school improvements and supplies, and organizing sporting and recreational events. You can channel contributions through us–talk to us.
